    MY MOM, MY UNIVERSE

Beneath the celestial canvas, hand in hand,

Stars shimmer above, in a cosmic ballet.

But not a star, neither a constellation could compare

    To my mother’s alluring stare.

I could lose myself in her eyes

Like the moon among the stars.

Moreover, if her presence would be eternal

I would give anything to also live forever.

She is pure as a melody,

Pure, as even the planets would want to be.

But everyone says, planets don’t talk, but i

    Talked to two

    Venus and Mars,

    They told me about you.

    Who would have even thought?

    That you sacrificed a lot

To treat me better than yourself

Oh, mom, I love you more than myself.

But along the stars I talked to a garden gnome

Together with his question “Where is home?”

I told him that wherever mom is, is my home

    I really mean it.

They say home is where your heart is,

But she’s the reason mine is beating.

My mom is the gravity of my world

And her eyes are outer space

With every word I write completing this poem

    I remember her ravishing face.

    In her hugs, galaxies collide

    Generating supernovas of affection

    With her arms open wide

I feel covered in a bubble of protection.

    My mother,

    My long-term best friend

    Since I’ve been breastfed

And until the end of times,

I love you mom! I’m running out of rhymes.
