The Cannibals
It’s always raw and fresh
When teeth dig into flesh,
And nails tear skin apart,
Digging to draw the heart.
It’s how he loves, it’s raw,
In the clench of his jaw,
It’s how she feels, it’s sweet,
From lips down to her feet.
And when he pulls her hair,
Fingers stretched in despair,
She flashes him a grin;
Her whisper draws him in.
And when she licks his skin,
He wishes for a sin…
But then she takes a bite,
He freezes in delight
And blood is on her lips,
Runs down her fingertips,
Then suddenly, it’s gone.
She stretches with a yawn…
His heart now can’t be found,
She doesn’t make a sound,
And then she disappears,
A ringing in his ears…
A hand clutched to his chest,
He knows that it’s a test;
A burgundy red trail
Draws him along her tail.
He reaches her at last,
Her eyes ghosts of the past,
His heart still in her hand:
Nothing she wants to mend
But now he wants revenge,
His drained veins to avenge,
His hands wrap ‘round her neck,
He throws her off the deck.
And then he dives right after,
Oh God! It’s a disaster!
The salt just makes skin softer,
The water drowns their laughter…
He bites her in delight,
She won’t put up a fight,
He won’t stop till she’s dead,
No brains left in her head.
He eats her, bones and all,
As deeper down they fall.
The waves steal his last breath:
He ate her to his death…
