The assignment genie

Recently I have heard about a new phenomenon going around the digital world. ChatGPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is a chatbot launched by OpenAI. Out of curiosity I decided to give it a shot for an English assignment about what Romanian teenagers do in their free time. I typed in the prompt and the results left me speechless.

,,Subject: Teenage Activities in Romania

Dear [Recipient],

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to share information about what teenagers in Romania like to do in their free time.

Romanian teenagers are very active and enjoy spending time outdoors. Some popular activities include playing sports, hiking and camping in the mountains, and visiting parks and lakes. They also like to hang out with friends and explore the city, visiting cinemas, shopping malls, and cafes.

In addition to outdoor activities, teenagers in Romania are also very creative and enjoy pursuing various artistic interests. Many of them play musical instruments, draw and paint, and participate in theater and dance performances.

Technology is also an important part of teenage life in Romania, and many teenagers spend time playing video games, browsing the internet, and using social media to connect with friends and stay up-to-date on current events.

Overall, Romanian teenagers are adventurous, creative, and always looking for new experiences. I hope this information provides a useful overview of the types of activities that are popular among teens in Romania.

Best regards,

[Your Name]”

Almost in an instance it wrote me an e-mail that was just perfect for my homework. This program is astonishing and convenient for students to use when they are overwhelmed by the writer’s block.

Although it sounds heavenly, it can cause some trouble as we might stop putting effort into our future assignments as ChatGPT can do it for ourselves.

I might lie if I say I won’t inspire from it in the near future.
